You seen it before: After a day of hard work or play in the yard, one family member says to another, “Hey, would you crack my back?” and of course, 90% of the time the offer is answered with a confident but the bad choice of “Yes”.  Thousands of injuries occur every year by this mistake. There are even internet sites that claim to demonstrate in a few paragraphs what Chiropractic Doctors study for years to perform correctly.

Can I adjust myself or just have friend do it?
Absolutely not. Since a chiropractic adjustment is a specific force, applied in a specific direction to a specific joint, it is virtually impossible to adjust oneself correctly and accurately. It is possible to turn or bend or twist in certain ways to create a "popping" sound that sometimes accompanies a chiropractic adjustment. Unfortunately, this type of joint manipulation is usually counterproductive, often making an already unstable spine even more unstable, and can sometimes be dangerous. Adjusting the spine is not for amateurs! Be sure to give us a call and have your back adjusted, not “cracked” by one of our Chiropractic Doctors. We do offer a series of bends and stretches that can help in the health of your spine: Click Here See you soon!
